D-750 Single-Spindle Coiling Machine

The D-750 is a single-spindle coiling machine designed for rewind-line REELEX® packaging. This machine is equipped with a collapsible mandrel and automatic endform removal system which allows easy coil removal. The D-750 also features an integrated buffer system mounted on the frame. This advanced buffer system is used to precisely control line tension.

Running at 750 RPM, the D-750 is designed to be operated by a single operator performing coil removal and packaging functions and allows for the flexibility of easily switching between product types in minutes.

The D-750 features a 10-preset program for constant spindle speeds from 75 RPM to 750 RPM with adjustable acceleration and deceleration. The machine also featuresa four-digit footage/meter counter with two custom presets (slow down and stop).

Troubleshooting and Diagnostic programs are included and feature four-digit readout for troubleshooting and testing of all electronic and mechanical functions.

On-Board Troubleshooting Every REELEX machine has an integrated troubleshooting program specially-designed to diagnose issues and simplify maintenance of every REELEX machine.	Advanced Tension Control The key to creating precise REELEX coils is controlling the tension as the product is wound. Every REELEX machine includes a specially-designed ring-sheave buffer system to maintain even tension and create a precise wind. All buffers are now upgradable to 15" sheaves for high performance products such as Category 6, 6A and Fiber Optics	Simple and Reliable To assist operators, the D-750 is equipped with an anti-reverse system, pneumatic endform removal, and built-in cable holder. Accomplished operators can produce up to 40 coils per hour.	Stretch Wrap Capable The new automated Stretch Wrap module can be ordered with any new D-750 or retrofitted to add additional packaging capability. For low-margin products, shrink and stretch-wrapping options can significantly reduce packaging costs while introducing a fully disposable, lightweight and low-waste package.

Performance

In unison with a motorized payoff and buffer/dancer, a D-750 line will run up to 750 feet (228m) per minute. At this rate, the D-750 will produce up to forty 1,000 ft (305m) coils in an hour depending on operator skill and payoff performance.

Line Layout

Options

The D-750 is typically equipped with an 8 inch (20.3 cm) collapsible mandrel and 18 inch (45.7 cm) endform set. However, depending on the flexibility and diameter of the product, 4-inch and 6-inch mandrels with 12-inch endforms are available along with a 10-inch/21-inch mandrel/endform set for products with large diameters or bending radii.

Other options include spare parts kits and a 15” ring sheave buffer upgrade for coiling Category 6, Cat 7 and cables of other sensitive constructions such as Fiber Optics.

EC Safety Guarding with automatic shield actuation is available for countries operating under European safety regulations.

If traditional spooling capability is also required, a SHS-750 single-head spooler is available. This machine connects through the D-750 controller and is a stand-alone spooling machine for packaging on traditional spools. This allows the operator to switch between REELEX or spooling operations on demand.
