Past REELEX Machine Designs

REELEX Packaging Solutions is fully committed to supporting all of our older machinery. From the W-250 to D-510, we do our best to keep our machines running; some as long as 25 years or more.

D-510

D510

The D-510 is a single-spindle coiling machine designed for offline REELEX® packaging. The D-510 will coil 20 to 30 REELEX coils per hour at 500 RPM. The D-510 is no longer in production, but is available as a fully refurbished REELEX machine, and thus has the same one year warranty as new equipment.

As a precursor to the higher-speed D-750, the D-510 is an ideal match for companies just starting with REELEX, or for manufacturers requiring flexibility over speed. The D-510 is a dependable REELEX coiling machine that is simple to work on and easily adjustable to suit different products.

The D-510 features a push-button controlled outer endform which is removed pneumatically when the coil is completed. This machine also uses the same electronics and software as the D-750, and will thus wind REELEX coils with the same precision and adjustability.

An external buffer (BDA-31) is included with the D-510, as one is not directly mounted to the machine. A motorized payoff and UDA (Universal Dancer Accumulator) manufactured by REELEX Packaging Solutions is also recommended for optimal performance, but may be purchased elsewhere.

The REELEX Introduction Program allows companies new to REELEX to try coiling equipment at no cost for 18 months until a successful market is established. This program is only applicable for refurbished D-510 equipment (buffer and one mandrel/endform set included) and only while machines are available.

D-1000 D510

The D-1000 is a precursor to the D-1500. A dual-spindle REELEX coiling machine, the D-1000 featured two spindles atop one another. As one spindle was winding, the other spindle held a finished coil.

The D-1000 was the first REELEX machine capabile of Online packaging, and was the first to feature a cutter and grabber system.

Today there are several D-1000s still operating in the field, however they have largely been replaced by the faster D-1500.
